Information Assurance Advisory, LLC was formed in 2008 to assist organizations with information protection, managing risks and operational resiliency efforts.

Leadership experience in the financial services industry, the Department of Defense (DOD) and participation on various Presidential advisory efforts and industry councils has provided experienced-based insights that can benefit your organization.

As a recognized industry leader in each of these areas, my commitment and focus are to support those engaged in efforts to improve the management of operational cybersecurity risks for the benefit of their organization and customers.

With the formation of the current Bank of America Corporation in 1998, as an executive leader within the corporate information security organization, its program was transformed into an industry leading model program.

As the Director of Information Security in the Pentagon in the mid-1990s, it was apparent that DOD needed to transform its protection policies and processes. Changes were initiated that resulted in Information Assurance being institutionalized as a more comprehensive approach DOD-wide.

Contributions and leadership, as the financial industry representative on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) Industry Executive Subcommittee, provided broad experience and provided opportunity to provide the federal government recommendations to address National Security, Homeland Security and cyber security challenges and opportunities facing our country and allies.

More recently, Information Assurance Advisory has supported the Financial Services Industry Sheltered Harbor Program in its operational resiliency efforts. Standards for assuring customer data would be available if a firms operations were impacted by a destructive cyber attack.
